Halloumi pies in the pan

Process

  1. Knead the flour, milk, butter, and salt together in a bowl to form a soft dough.
  2. Cut the dough in half and roll out each half with a rolling pin forming circle shapes with a diameter of 20 cm each.
  3. Grate the Halloumi, and sprinkle half of it on each dough circle.
  4. Fold the dough circled in half to seal the Halloumi inside. Be careful of holes in the dough that will let the Halloumi out.
  5. Then, gently pass the rolling pin over the dough to flatten and widen the pie.
  6. Repeat with the second dough.
  7. Place a non-stick frying pan on the heat to warm up well before putting in the pie.
  8. Cook for 2 minutes until golden brown and then flip it over, using a spatula.
  9. Serve either hot or cold, plain or with a little honey on top.
