DODONI SA – AGRICULTURAL DAIRY INDUSTRY OF EPIRUS recognizes that privacy is important to you and wants you to be familiar with how we collect, use and disclose data.
“Personal Data” are data relating to an identified or identifiable natural person by reference to identification identifiers, location data or other identifiers of your physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.
This Privacy Policy Statement describes our privacy practices and is compliant with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679 as well as with the Hellenic Data Protection legislation.
This Policy explains what information we collect about you when you visit our website and/or when you cooperate with us, in any capacity, as suppliers, producers, commercial agents, exporters, traders, employees, etc., either when you contact us or when you purchase our products as customers.
It also describes how we process your information to ensure that your rights are always respected in accordance with the GDPR processing principles.
2. Who we are
Founded in 1963, we, at DODONI, produce and export dairy products, among those the No.1 selling brand and awarded Feta cheese in Greece, other cheeses from cow, sheep and goat’s milk (like hard and whey cheeses), fresh milk, butter, authentic yoghurt etc, all from 100% fresh Greek milk. We count three state-of-the-art production units in Ioannina, Thebes and Cyprus, the latter producing original traditional Cypriot cheeses (Halloumi and Anari) respectively made with local traditional recipes and 100% milk from Cyprus. Today we export in over 45 countries, travelling the Greek flavors and products all around the world.

5. What personal data we collect
When you work, transact or contact us, we may ask you to provide certain personal information, such as your name, ID number, passport, physical and email address, medical certificates, credit card number, vehicle, landline/mobile phone number, registration, purchase orders and other identifiers that identify you.
6. Children’s data
We do not trade or collect data of minors. Our website is not intended for children under 15 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect information from children to sell or promote our services.
7. Legal basis for processing your personal data
We process your personal data in accordance with the GDPR2016/679 (Lawfulness, Objectivity, Transparency of Processing, Purpose Limitation, Data Minimization, Accuracy, Storage Limitation, Integrity, Confidentiality and Accountability) for one or more of the following reasons:
- Necessary for the performance of a contract, to carry out our obligations with respect to any contractual agreements
- Necessary for us to comply with a legal obligation, to fulfill our tax, accounting, control, and reporting obligations.
- To serve our (and third party) legitimate business interests. Legitimate interest is when we have a business or commercial reason to use your information. But even then, such use is consistent with the fundamental rights of individuals, for example:

8. How we share your data
In the course of the performance of our contractual and legal obligations your personal data may be provided to various service providers and suppliers. Those service providers and suppliers are bound by Data Processing Agreements with us, and they are obliged to safeguard confidentiality and data protection according to the data protection regulation.
Such service providers and suppliers may be:
- External legal, tax and accounting consultants
- Information technology companies
- Cloud providers
- Financial and business institutions and advisors,
- Marketing companies, Security companies
- Courts or law enforcement agencies
- Third parties you have used to contact us
- Card payment companies
9. Transfers of data outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”).
Your personal data are kept within Greece and the EEA (28 EU and Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway).
They may exceptionally be transferred on our behalf to third countries outside the EEA in compliance with the terms of the GDPR, such as adequacy decisions of the destination country’s privacy law, standard corporate rules, standard contracts or approved codes of conduct, or because you have given us your explicit consent. We require recipients of data in third countries to comply with European data protection regulations and provide appropriate safeguards in relation to the transfer of your data.
10. Data Storage and Retention
We will process and store your Personal Data for the duration of our relationship with you, and as long as necessary to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations.
We will keep the curricula vitae for employment search which we receive on your behalf, either in writing or electronically, at least until the recruitment process is completed and for two years after we receive them for possible future recruitment.
We will delete your data:
- When it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which that information was collected and processed;
- Upon your request or objection, provided there are no overriding legal grounds requiring us to maintain that information;
- If our collection of information was based on your consent, upon the withdrawal of your consent.
11. Automated decision and Profiling
In executing our business activities, we do not use any automated decision-making. We may from time to time process some aspects of your data automatically, in order to enter into a business relationship with you.
12. How we use your personal data for marketing activities
We may process your personal data to inform you about products, services and offers that may be of interest to you or your business. The personal data that we process for this purpose consists of information you provide to us and data we collect when you use our products.
We can only use your personal data to promote our products and services to you if we have your consent to do so or if we consider that it is in our legitimate interest to do so.
You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for marketing purposes, which includes profiling.
13. Your data protection rights
You have the following rights in relation to the personal data we hold about you:
- Access your personal data. This enables you, for example, to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you and to check that we are lawfully processing it.
- Request the correction of the personal data we hold about you. This enables you to correct any incomplete or inaccurate data we hold about you.
- Request the deletion of your personal information [known as the “right to be forgotten”]. This allows you to request that we delete your personal data when there is no valid reason for us to continue processing it.
- Object to the processing of your personal data [known as the “right to object”] when we rely on a legitimate interest but there is something particular about your situation that makes you want to object to the processing for this reason. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing, which override your interests, rights and freedoms.
- You also have the right to object in cases where we process your personal data for direct marketing purposes. This also includes profiling, insofar as it relates to direct marketing. If you object to processing for direct marketing purposes, then we will stop processing your personal data for these purposes.
- Request the restriction of processing of your personal data. This allows you to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal data, i.e. to use it only for certain circumstances, if:
- they are not accurate
- they have been used illegally, but you do not wish us to delete them;
- they are no longer needed, but you want us to keep them for use in potential legal claims;
- you have already asked us to stop using your personal data, but please wait for us to confirm whether we have legitimate grounds to use it.
- Request to receive a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format in order to transmit such data to other organizations. You also have the right to request that your personal data be transferred directly from us to other organisations you name [known as the right to data portability].
- Withdraw the consent you have given us regarding the processing of your personal data at any time. Please note that any withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of consent-based processing before it was withdrawn or withdrawn by you.
