Fetanara (Carbonara with Feta)

Ingredients

  • 500 g linguine, cooked
  • 120 g bacon, sliced
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil
  • 200 g milk
  • 200 g DODONI Feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 egg

For serving

  • Freshly ground pepper

Process

  1. Place a pot over high heat, add water, and bring to a boil.
  2. Add salt and the pasta, and cook according to the package instructions.
  3. Stack the bacon slices on a cutting board and cut into thin strips.
  4. Place a pan over high heat and let it heat up.
  5. Add the olive oil and bacon to the pan.
  6. Add the milk and crumbled DODONI feta cheese.
  7. Let it come to a boil for 1–2 minutes.
  8. Remove the pot from the heat, drain the pasta, and reserve some of the cooking water.
  9. Add the pasta to the pan and mix well. (If more moisture is needed, add a little of the reserved pasta water.)
  10. Remove the pan from the heat.
  11. Divide into plates and serve with freshly ground pepper.
